He has received a number of awards including a Bologna Book Fair Mention in 2010 and 2012, and an AOI Mention of Illustration in 2016. His work was selected for Ilustrarte Biennial 2016 and 2018, and for the New York Society of Illustrators 59 Annual and Exhibition in 2017.
Alongside his work as an author and illustrator, Miguel teaches illustration and leads creative workshops for children and adolescents in Italy and in Spain, where he was born and raised. He lives in Milan with his wife Federica and their two sons, Pablo and Javier.
